2019 has been an industrious year for Indian web series. Along with the sequel of the sensational Sacred Games, we also witnessed several promising web series making their way. Similarly, we have had some iconic characters making their mark into the minds of the audience. Let’s talk about ten such memorable characters from our favorite web shows of 2019.

10. Mushroom – Broken But Beautiful

Gaurav Arora entered as Ahan aka Mushroom in the second season of ALT Balaji’s successful romantic drama Broken But Beautiful. He was paired opposite Harleen Sethi who played Sameera. Fans loved the chemistry between Mushroom and Samson.

9. Shalini – Leila

Leila premiered on Netflix in June 2019. The story is set on a dystopian future where basic amenities stay limited to the privileged and casteism, corruption and pollution rule the country. Huma Qureshi played the role of Shalini, a woman on a quest to search for her daughter post the death of her husband belonging to a different caste. Qureshi nailed her character. Similarly, she was highly appreciated by critics.

8. Jhantoo – Hostel Daze

Nikhil Vijay played the character of Jhantoo in the Amazon Prime Original, Hostel Daze. His character was memorable due to its excellent comic timing and dialogue delivery.

7. Chhavi – Immature

TVF’s Immature released on February 20, 2019. This five-episode coming-of-age comedy revolved around the first experiences of a teenager caught between studies and peer pressure. Rashmi Agdekar captured the hearts of audiences with her portrayal of Chhavi, the sweetheart of the school.

6. Damini Rizvi Roy – Four More Shots Please

Sayani Gupta played Damini, an opinionated and independent journalist, struggling with the insecurities of her personal life. Further, the sequel to this superhit series is all set to release on April 17, 2020
