Mayur More is a talented actor who rose to prominence with his character of Vaibhav Pandey in TVF’s Kota Factory. Mayur has worked in several projects before like Lipstick Under My Burkha and Anaarkali of Aarah.
We had a chat with the actor on how is he spending the lockdown hours. Here’s what Mayur More shared with us.
What are you doing in your quarantine?
I have been reading books and binge-watching stuff online. Other than that, I have started painting once again. I am a bit relieved that I still possess this trait (laughs).
How did you get into acting?
There comes an age where everyone starts asking you about your aspirations for the future. I was clueless for the longest time. After that, I spoke to myself about trying to be an actor. Hence, I joined the theatre. I have worked under the guidance of a lot of visionaries like Kumud Mishra and our very own Sumeet Vyas. After that, I kept auditioning for long till I got my first project.
I should also attribute this to Swara Bhaskar Ma’am. She watched my play and personally met me. I was then offered a role in Anaarkali of Aarah. Further, she has also helped me get in touch with a lot of filmmakers. I am thankful to her.
How did you land up in the character of Vaibhav in Kota Factory?
I was called to audition for it. The first person I had met that day was Ranjan who was already selected for the role of Meena. He had come that day for his costume measurement. Eventually, I got selected and accompanied him on the journey.
