About the story:

The series revolves around the lives of different parents with diverse natures and their dimensions with their children. Further, it highlights the toils and troubles a parent withstands in order to raise their offsprings well.

First, we have a workaholic mom who finds it difficult to create a balance between job and kids. Then we have the fitness-freak mommy who focusses on her physical well-being in order to manage the household at large. We also have a stern, often referred to as ‘Tiger’ mom who feels the best way to tackle the mischiefs of children is by keeping them under strict supervision. Lastly, we have a hotshot single dad (played by Dino Morea) who serves as an eye-candy with his charm, often proving himself to be a distraction for the ladies.

SUGGESTED: Review – SHUKRANU (2020)

The lives of these high society women may be different in terms of their professional interests, but what binds them together is their love for their children and their urge to provide the best possible upbringing to them.

Analysis:

In spite of the trailer creating a stir across social media, Ekta Kapoor’s show misses out on relatability. Indian mothers might hardly be able to connect to the struggles of these mothers of the silver screen. Other drawbacks include the absence of punches and a disappointing execution of the overall concept. However, it was soothing to watch Karisma Kapoor act again and without a doubt, the queen of the 90s has delivered a commendable performance.

What works: Acting by the star cast

What doesn’t work: Poor execution of the concept
