Netflix has announced five Hindi Originals, two of them with superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma attached as producers respectively.
A remote village becomes the theatre of a breathless battle when a two-century-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zombie redcoats take over. With Indian police pitted against the undead army, hapless villagers are trapped in a horrific, edge-of-your-seat conflict.
While Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment will produce the show, Patrick Graham, of Ghoul and Selection Day fame, will serve as the writer/director and showrunner. It will be executive produced by Blumhouse, known to design some of the best horror content and Ivanhoe.

Mai has Anushka Sharma & Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Films as the executive producers. Atul Mongia will write the series along with Tamal Sen, Amita Vyas, with Sudip Sharma as the creative producer.
Masaba Masaba, a scripted series based on real-life moments from fashion designer Masaba Gupta’s life. While the show follows her unique background and her diverse worlds across fashion and family. It also covers her foray back into the dating world.
Moreover, the original series will star Masaba alongside her mother, veteran actor Neena Gupta, as themselves. Ashvini Yardi’s Vineyard Films will create and produce. While Sonam Nair will serve as the director.
In contemporary urban India, five women, across generations, wrestle with desire, ethics, personal crises and vulnerabilities to own their ambition. As glass ceilings are shattered and hearts are broken, difficult choices have to be made. While each woman strives to find her truth, they find in each other an unexpected understanding.
Alankrita Shrivastava will create, write, and direct this Netflix original show while Chernin Entertainment and EndemolShine India will be co-producers.

Patel has co-written the series with Neel Shah. Whereas the District’s David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer and Mutant Films’ Seher Aly Latif and Shivani Saran are co-producers.
Apart from this line-up, Netflix has Typewriter (19th July), Sacred Games Season 2 (15th August), and Bard of Blood (27th September) lined up for release.
