Operation Parindey is a dramatized adaptation of the infamous jailbreak of 2016 in Nabha, Punjab.
The incident shook the state of Punjab and forced the nation to question its internal security. To the Police Department, it bore greater significance since a mishap like this only points at the inefficiency the officers’ practice in their profession. However, the police successfully managed to chase down the runaway criminals within a crucial span of 24 hours.
Monty Singh (Dev) is a deadly terrorist serving his sentence at the same jail. He, however, pretends to be a spiritual guide and successfully appeases his fellow inmates. Among them is a drug dealer, Pabbi (Aakash Dahiya). Monty, along with with his contacts outside the jail, crafts a proficient plan of fleeing from the jail. He manages to brainwash Pabbi and gives him the charge of carrying out this jailbreak in exchange for money. Pabbi at first manages to flee from the jail and then, on a peaceful Sunday morning, takes the other prisoners along with him and runs away.
