How are you spending your lockdown hours?
Quite fine till now. My roommate and I are either engaged in cleaning up the house or we watch shows together.
What are the shows you have been watching lately?
I have recently watched Asur and it is fantastic. Something of this sort hasn’t been made in India before. Hence, it is definitely worth watching.
From IIT to Acting, how does Ranjan Raj describe this transition?
I have always had a knack for acting. I dropped out of B.Tech when I realized that this is what I wish to do. Hence, I started giving auditions. I have also been behind the camera. Gradually everything happened and here I am today, trying to make a mark.
We have heard you were quite intimidated by Shraddha Kapoor, is it true?
I mean yes, I have had a crush on her for the longest time. We had just one scene together which was the weightlifting scene. I remember she was so impressed with my performance that she had a good laugh over that particular scene. My purpose was fulfilled there itself.
How was the overall experience of Chhichhore?
Chhichhore is very close to my heart. It is basically the story of my hostel days. In the movie, I was seen fetching gold in GCE with weight-lifting. In reality, I used to do that with dramatics. Even most of the parts are shot in the same place where I spent some of the best years of my life. I consider myself very lucky to be a part of the film.
